But some who are patience and like to play strategic games. For such people Chess is on the top of the list. It's such an interesting game to which a person gets addicted if learns.
Brief History
The Game probably originated in India before 6th Century A.D. A minority of historians believe the game originated in China.
First it was named "Chaturanga" or "Shat-Ranj" as pronounced.
Why One should play Chess / Benefits of playing Chess
1. Better Brain Function:- As it is a strategic game , it obviously need a lot of brain work to play each move. Each move in chess has importance. A good move will lead to winning where as a wrong move to disaster.
2.Improved Memory:- The moves which are played are not possible to learn by heart. But you know the counter move of the trap played by the opponent because you have played such moves earlier.
3. Strategic Thinking:- I need not to tell you as chess it self is a strategic game.
4. Improved Patience:- Though there are time limit in chess but in some games or if you are playing chess with a friend of yours where there is a lot of time then you actually need patience when the other person is thinking for his moves.
5. Attention Improvement:- Chess require attention for each move , any distraction will lead to some wrong move. So playing regularly enhances attention.

1.Longest Game Possible:- The Longest game possible is of 5,949 moves.
2.Longest Game Played:- It lasted for 269 moves and ended in a draw.
3.The King is dead :-The word "Checkmate" refers to the heading of sentence.
4.The New Pawn move:- The new move in which a pawn can move 2 steps in initial on its steps was introduced in Spain in 1280.
5.Genius Computer:- Chess playing computer named "Deep thought" was introduced.
